The well-being of communities is at the heart of our actions.

01 — People

Farming should pay for a life, not just a harvest.

Prices are agreed above the conventional market — 30% higher on average — and paid on collection. Fair for Life has audited that commitment every year since 2018. Training, internships with Bayon School and work for 110 seasonal staff, 69% of them women, sit on top of the price.

02 — Nature

Soil and water are the only assets that cannot be replaced.

Certified organic by Ecocert since 2018 under both EU and USDA rules: cover crops, composting, zero chemical inputs. With the Asian Development Bank and People in Need we are building irrigation that holds through a longer dry season.

Our products

Pepper and vanilla, from one certified estate.

Cambodia's first organic and fair trade certified Kampot pepper farm — and, an hour away in Kep, a greenhouse curing Tahitian vanilla. Two crops, one chain of custody, one audit.

01 — Vanilla

Tahitian vanilla, so that one bad pepper season is not the whole year.

A pilot plantation of Vanilla tahitensis under a climate-controlled greenhouse in Kep. Farmers get the training, the cuttings free of charge, agronomist support, and a commitment to buy what they grow.

02 — Pepper

One vine, four harvests, four peppers.

All organic, all Kampot protected geographical indication. When they are picked and what happens next is the whole difference between them.

A handful of dried black Kampot peppercorns

Black pepper

Sun-dried under the Kampot sun. Intense, spicy aromas — the flagship, and the pepper that started it all.

Cupped hands holding dried red Kampot peppercorns

Red pepper

Harvested only at full maturity, sorted berry by berry. Fruity and sweet — the premium grade.

White peppercorns spread out to dry on a mesh screen

White pepper

Hulled by hand. Softer and more subtle — delicate where the others are bold.

The network

Over one hundred farming families, and the people who answer for them.

The network grows every season. Each partner farms organic, sells at a price agreed before the harvest, and appears here with their consent.

Our CSR projects

The premium is not ours. It is spent on what the community asks for.

Fair for Life sets the floor: a stable price, agreed ahead of the season and paid on collection, averaging 30% above the conventional market. On top of the price sits the fair trade premium — money that does not belong to the company.

It pays for water, for schooling, for training in organic practice and financial management, and for holding production through a longer dry season. These are the projects running now.

Climate

Asian Development Bank and People in Need

A joint project to hold pepper production through a longer dry season: resilient irrigation, stronger inclusion of women in the value chain, and support for households facing the cost of a changing climate.

Traceability

Six steps from a vine in Kampot to a container in Sihanoukville.

This is the same chain our auditors read. It is kept because certification requires it, not because it makes a good story.

  1. 01

    Farm

Vines on our own 13 hectares and on partner plots, each registered with its grower and its organic status.

  2. 02

    Collection

Weighed and recorded at collection, against the price agreed before the season began.

  3. 03

    Drying

Sun-dried on raised screens. Black pepper darkens in the open air; white pepper is soaked and hulled first.

  4. 04

    Sorting

Hand-graded. Red pepper is sorted berry by berry, which is most of why there is so little of it.

  5. 05

    Packing

Packed as a registered Kampot Pepper packager, certified by the KPPA since 1 June 2020.

  6. 06

    Container

Exported to France and the wider European Union, and to Singapore for the Asian market.

pending: lot-code format and whether the code on a pack resolves to a public record without a login — the strongest line in this section depends on the answer

Nature

Organic since 2018, under two sets of rules at once.

Ecocert certifies the farm to the European organic regulation and to the USDA National Organic Program, 7 CFR Part 205. In practice that means cover crops, composting and no chemical inputs — on 13 hectares of laterite soil that has to still be there in fifty years.
